Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information collected during a visit, the reasons it is used, and the limited situations in which another service may receive it. Continued use of Perry County Criminal History indicates acceptance of these practices.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

A name or location entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query under its own policy and supplies any results. Perry County Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms.

Messages and Contact Submissions

An email or contact submission may be retained long enough to review and answer it. Messages remain within the organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Data We Gather Automatically

Standard technical information may be recorded when a page loads:

  • Page-view dates and times
  • The referring site, when one is supplied
  • Pages viewed and the length of the visit
  • Device and operating-system type
  • Browser name and version
  • The device's assigned IP address

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small files placed on a device. They and analytics services help produce aggregate measures such as popular pages and common exit points. A browser can reject cookies, although doing so may change how some site functions behave.

What We Do With This Data

  • Finding and correcting technical faults
  • Measuring which pages visitors use
  • Operating the site and maintaining performance
  • Forwarding a query to the selected search provider
  • Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests

No Criminal-Record Data on File

Perry County Criminal History does not compile, maintain, or sell a database of personal criminal records. Its content identifies official custodians such as the Perry Circuit Court Clerk, Kentucky State Police Records Division, local law enforcement, and the Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry. Visitor information is not assembled into a third-party criminal record or a consumer report. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies power the search boxes. Their privacy terms, retention periods, and disclosure practices apply to information submitted through those tools. Review the provider's policy before entering a query because those practices are outside this site's control.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to courts, law-enforcement offices, state agencies, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows an outbound link, the destination's privacy rules govern. Review them before sharing personal information.

Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select ads. Their tracking is not operated by Perry County Criminal History.

Who Might See Your Data

Personal data is not sold. Information may be disclosed to:

  • Government or law-enforcement bodies when valid legal process requires disclosure
  • Advertising networks serving content on the pages
  • Analytics services measuring traffic and performance
  • Search partners processing a query submitted to their tool

How We Protect Your Data

Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for collected data. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, so Perry County Criminal History cannot promise that unauthorized access will never occur.

Users Under 18

This service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. A verified report that a minor supplied data will be handled with a deletion request.

Your Data Rights

Rights can vary by residence and applicable law. Kentucky's Open Records Act, KRS 61.870 through 61.884, governs access to records held by Kentucky public agencies, not data held by this private site. KRS 17.580 separately governs the public Kentucky State Police registry. Subject to applicable law, a visitor may:

  • Object to certain types of processing
  • Request deletion of eligible personal data
  • Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
  • Request a copy of personal data held about the requester

Updates to This Policy

This policy may be revised. A replacement takes effect when posted with an updated effective date, so visitors should review it periodically.
